Top 10: Slipknot

Top 10: Slipknot

10: The Virus Of Life
At first I didn't really like this song, just skipped past it. But quickly, it grew on me, and was for a pretty long time, my favourite Slipknot song. The darkness of the lyrics and way they are sung culminate to make this one of the best Slipknot songs that can leave you with goosebumps.

9: (SIC)
An iconic Slipknot song (SIC) is entirely what they are about. Brutally heavy, more so then almost any other song from the band, only topped in this aspect by eeyore or get this.

8: Vermilion Pt. 2
the bi-polar sequel to vermilion deals with same the tumult though through a different prospective. Soft, touching and deep aren't usually associated with Slipknot though with songs like this and snuff maybe that will become something of the past.

7: Me Inside
A great blend of the two natures of Slipknot. Keeping mainly to the heavy side which is a good idea due to that being their predominant side. A great song with great vocals and lyrics, some of which are in Spanish :O

6: The Nameless
Another amazing blend of two very distinct styles, The Nameless fits them together perfectly and also stays more with the heaviness that we think of Slipknot for. The end of the last verse and last chorus are immense and greatly powerful, this is the main reason for the song being in this list.

5: Scream (Bonus Track)
This song is very well named, and leaves you wandering why it was only a bonus track? I only found it by luck so many fans will not have heard this huge song. Top five for a reason.

4: Vermilion
Believe it or not the entire top four were brought out, or at least have an official music video to their names. A beautifully passionate song that is the pinnacle of Slipknot's love endeavours.

3: Psychosocial
When I first heard this song I thought Anders was back. Weather or not that would be a good thing or not is completely opinionated. (In my opinion Corey is better, though without Anders we wouldn't have Slipknot at all.) I then reached the chorus and realised that we did still have Corey. This is lyrically and vocally one of the best Slipknot songs and deserves 3rd place.

2: My Plague
An amazing song throughout, lyrically, vocally, instrumentally, this is what Slipknot is about. We all know it, we all love it, My Plague is truly Slipknot at their near ultimate, near best, so near that you couldn't fit a hair in-between the greatness of this song and number 1. Though what is that song? You will have most probably already guessed what it is though to be fair.

1: Spit It Out
Iconic to Slipknot mainly for their coveted live performances. This song is absolutely the greatest ever Slipknot song and one of the best songs ever in my personal opinion. Slipknot went all out on this song and it shows. Here is a link to the live version of this song on youtube:
